GÖKBEY Helicopter Used in Field Commando Training for the First Time

The GÖKBEY helicopter, a domestically developed project by Turkey’s defense industry, was utilized for the first time in field-based commando training exercises. This initiative, carried out jointly by defense institutions and the Turkish Armed Forces, aimed to evaluate the helicopter’s performance and versatility in real-world scenarios.

Equipped with high maneuverability and advanced technological systems, the GÖKBEY provided swift and secure support to commando units. The training increased adaptation to realistic mission conditions and enhanced the skills of the personnel involved.

Developed by TUSAŞ, GÖKBEY is designed for both military and civil applications. The inclusion of this helicopter in field training marks a milestone in Turkey’s effort to strengthen its defense capabilities with indigenous technologies.

Utilizing the GÖKBEY in commando training reflects Turkey’s strategic focus on bolstering its defense with local innovations. The experience gained from these exercises is expected to prepare the helicopter for more complex and demanding missions in the near future.
