Great Honor for Samsun at the Asian International Mathematical Olympiad: One Silver and Three Bronze Medals

The 14th Asian International Mathematical Olympiad was held in Hanoi, the capital of Vietnam, from August 1 to 5, 2026. Approximately 2,500 students from 26 countries competed in the event.

Representing their school, Samsun, and Türkiye on the international stage, four students achieved remarkable success by winning one silver and three bronze medals.

Among the students representing Türkiye, Kerem Tunçel won a silver medal, while Ela Aynur Güngör, Çınar Ege Pınar, and Selman Şeker each received a bronze medal.

These young aspiring scientists, who were specially trained for international mathematics olympiads, continue to make their country proud through their outstanding achievements. The four medals won in Hanoi once again demonstrated the students’ talent, determination, and disciplined preparation in the field of mathematics.

We sincerely congratulate the students who successfully represented Türkiye and proudly raised the Turkish flag at the 14th Asian International Mathematical Olympiad. We also extend our gratitude to their families, teachers, advisor Fatma Ağaçdiken, committee chairs, and all academics who contributed to their training.

The international achievements of these aspiring scientists have brought great pride to both Samsun and Türkiye.
