Guardians of the Sky: Establishing the HÜRKUŞ, HÜRJET, and KAAN Ecosystem with Indigenous Wings

Turkey’s defense industry is reinforcing its aerospace capabilities with indigenous air platforms. The HÜRKUŞ basic trainer, the advanced jet trainer HÜRJET, and the National Combat Aircraft KAAN form a strategic triad that will safeguard the country’s airspace in the years to come.

HÜRKUŞ, developed by Turkish Aerospace Industries (TUSAŞ), serves as a domestic light training and attack aircraft designed to meet the fundamental training requirements of Turkish pilots. Following this, HÜRJET offers advanced jet training and light attack capabilities, facilitating the development of modern pilot skills.

The National Combat Aircraft (MMU) KAAN is engineered to play a critical role in future air defense and offensive operations. Featuring stealth technology, advanced avionics, and high maneuverability, KAAN aims to introduce next-generation capabilities into the Turkish Air Force’s inventory.
