Minister Uraloğlu Highlights GÖKBEY Helicopter as National Pride Serving the Nation

Turkey’s indigenous defense landscape continues to advance with the GÖKBEY helicopter, which Defense Industry Minister İsmail Uraloğlu described as not merely a helicopter but a symbol of national pride dedicated to serving the nation.

Minister Uraloğlu noted that the GÖKBEY project reflects Turkey’s engineering capabilities and progress in its defense industry. He highlighted its critical role in achieving the country’s technological and strategic independence, pointing out its versatility in various missions.

He emphasized that GÖKBEY is designed not only for military operations but also for emergency and disaster relief, including search and rescue missions. Minister Uraloğlu added, “GÖKBEY is a national asset that will serve our people and stand by them under all conditions. I express my gratitude to all engineers and workers who contribute to this project.”

Furthermore, updates disclosed from Kayseri revealed that GÖKBEY is approaching serial production phase, reinforcing its importance in Turkey’s growing indigenous defense initiatives. The minister affirmed the commitment to strengthening the defense industry with such national projects, with GÖKBEY playing a pivotal role.
