Ministry Grants Export Advantages to 22 Major Publicly Traded Companies
The Ministry of Industry and Technology of the Republic of Turkey has implemented a key initiative targeting 22 prominent companies listed on the stock exchange. These firms have been granted a new export-favorable status aimed at amplifying their competitive strength and facilitating their presence in global markets.
Officials emphasized the significant contributions of these companies not only to Turkey’s economy but also to strategic sectors including the defense industry. The new status grants easier access to financing options, customs advantages, and administrative support throughout the export process.
This initiative focuses on strengthening critical players within the sector, contributing to both economic growth and enhancing Turkey’s defense industry competitiveness internationally. Furthermore, the ministry plans to introduce mechanisms that support increased investments in innovative technologies by these companies.
Experts highlight that such governmental support could substantially boost Turkey’s defense industry exports in the coming years. Strengthening the market position of key companies will also reinforce Turkey’s role within the global defense supply chain.
Ministry representatives noted future plans to expand this preferential status to include more enterprises, thereby encouraging domestic production and enhancing Turkey’s brand prominence globally.
