Production of Second Military Ship for Portugal Begins as Turkey Strengthens Defense Exports
Turkey’s defense industry has officially started constructing the second military vessel as part of its historic export deal with Portugal. This initiative reflects Turkey’s growing capabilities in developing advanced indigenous defense platforms and expanding its footprint in the global arms market.
The partnership between Turkey and Portugal strengthens bilateral ties in the defense sector and contributes to diversifying Turkey’s export portfolio. Following the delivery of the first ship, production now focuses on the next vessel.
