SSB Chief Görgün Aims to Position Turkey Among Top 10 Defense and Aerospace Exporters

Haluk Görgün, President of the Presidency of Defense Industries (SSB) in Turkey, highlighted the nation’s ambitions to strengthen its position as a leading exporter in defense and aerospace globally. He stressed the ongoing efforts to secure a spot among the top 10 countries worldwide in these sectors.

Görgün noted that Turkey’s indigenous defense projects have paved the way for the country to gain a firm footing in both regional and global markets. The aim is to expand export volumes by focusing on critical projects, innovative technologies, and strategic international partnerships.

Further, Görgün pointed out that the defense industry not only enhances military capabilities but also significantly contributes to Turkey’s economy. To sustain growth, he underscored the necessity of increased R&D investments, supported local production, and broadening export markets.
