Strategic Cooperation Agreement Signed Between SSB and Azerbaijan Defense Industry Ministry

The Presidency of Defense Industries of Turkey (SSB) and Azerbaijan’s Defense Industry Ministry have entered into a significant cooperation agreement aiming to deepen collaboration in defense projects. The protocol focuses on technical knowledge exchange and capacity building between both countries.

This partnership not only strengthens the integration of the two nations’ defense industries but also marks a crucial step towards enhancing regional security. The agreement emphasizes joint development of innovative defense systems, boosting domestic production capacities, and executing combined projects.

SSB President Haluk Görgün highlighted the agreement as a reinforcement of the strategic partnership between Turkey and its brotherly nation, Azerbaijan. He stated, “Our strong ties with Azerbaijan have reached a new milestone with this protocol, which will enhance cooperation in advanced technology production and R&D activities, benefiting the region.”

The Azerbaijani side underlined the importance of leveraging Turkey’s experience in defense industry and expressed that the collaboration will significantly increase their own local production and technology capabilities. Both countries aim to establish a competitive and supportive network that accelerates joint projects in defense manufacturing.

This signed contract between SSB and Azerbaijan’s Defense Industry Ministry is recognized as a pivotal milestone for regional cooperation and localization efforts in defense production.
