TEI Advances GÖKBEY Helicopter Serial Production and Critical Engine Support for KAAN

TEI, a prominent player in Turkey’s defense industry, announced the start of serial production for the indigenous GÖKBEY helicopter. Designed for versatile use in both civil and military sectors, GÖKBEY is set to significantly enhance Turkey’s aerospace and defense capabilities.

This move aims to accelerate delivery timelines and improve production quality for GÖKBEY, marking a key milestone in reducing dependency on foreign technologies within Turkey’s defense ecosystem.

Additionally, TEI has played a pivotal role in developing the engine infrastructure for the National Combat Aircraft project KAAN, one of Turkey’s most strategic defense initiatives. Leveraging its extensive experience in helicopter engines and next-generation engine technologies, TEI has established a robust and reliable engine supply chain critical for KAAN’s success.

The prepared engine infrastructure is crucial for meeting KAAN’s targeted delivery schedule between 2027 and 2029, ensuring the combat aircraft’s operational readiness and technological superiority.
