TOGÜ Rector Prof. Dr. Fatih Yılmaz Signs Internship Protocol with HAVELSAN in Ankara
Prof. Dr. Fatih Yılmaz, Rector of Tokat Gaziosmanpaşa University (TOGÜ), signed an internship protocol with HAVELSAN, a key player in Turkey’s defense industry, during a recent visit to Ankara. This agreement aims to provide TOGÜ students with expanded opportunities for hands-on training in defense-related technological projects.
During the signing ceremony, Prof. Yılmaz emphasized the importance of supporting professional development for young talents and preparing qualified human resources for the national defense sector. He noted that such collaborations strengthen the integration between academia and industry, allowing future engineers to gain vital sector experience.
Representatives from HAVELSAN stated that under this protocol, TOGÜ students will undertake internships within the company, enabling them to apply theoretical knowledge practically while contributing to indigenous software and technology projects. The signed agreement marks a significant step towards enhancing academic and technological cooperation between the two institutions.
