TUSAŞ Expands Presence in Latin America with AKSUNGUR, ANKA, HÜRJET, and KC-390 Bid

Turkish Aerospace Industries (TUSAŞ) is gearing up to strengthen its position in the Latin American defense and aerospace market. The company’s unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) AKSUNGUR and ANKA, in addition to the HÜRJET jet trainer, are poised to become key offerings in the region.

As defense and aerospace expenditures rise across Latin America, TUSAŞ aims to diversify its solutions by introducing long-endurance UAVs such as AKSUNGUR and ANKA, which meet reconnaissance and surveillance demands. Incorporating the HÜRJET, developed for advanced pilot training and light attack, into this portfolio enhances TUSAŞ’s competitive edge.

Additionally, the collaboration proposal involving the Brazilian-made KC-390 tactical transport aircraft remains active. This indicates TUSAŞ’s strategic intent to cover both manned and unmanned segments in Latin America’s aerospace defense sector.

Industry analysts note that this move capitalizes on the growing defense budgets in the region and aligns with Turkey’s broader defense export growth strategy. TUSAŞ’s Latin American initiatives are expected to generate new momentum for Turkey’s defense industry on the global stage.
